A walking tour of the beautiful river Itchen and its Water Meadows
Our Winchester River Walk is a lovely circular walk along the River Itchen and Itchen Navigation, taking in such famous Winchester landmarks as the Cathedral, Winchester College, views of St Catherine's Hill, whilst passing through the beautiful water meadows adjacent to the Itchen.
Your ticket includes a drink and snack from the SU Shop.
We'd recommend sensible walk footwear as some of the river pathways can often by uneven and note that this walk will not take place in inclement weather.
Booking is recommended as we have a limited capacity - join a member of our Freshers Crew in the Terrace on Level 2 of the King Alfred Centre for the start of this walking tour.
This is an intermediate walk with hills and would not suitable for those with limited mobility - The walk is approx. 4 miles and includes around a 1/4 mile of inclines and steps - walk starts promptly at 3pm, please arrive by no later than 2:55pm.
