Join our SU Game Masters on an adventure into the fantasy realm of Faerun, as you and your fellow players run afoul of the strange denizens and ancient magics of the mysterious Stormwreck Isle. Intrigued? Welcome to Dungeons & Dragons!
Dungeons & Dragons is the world’s most popular tabletop roleplaying game, and has become hugely popularised by the recent Honour Among Thieves film, as well as live play shows like Critical Role and Dimension 20. More and more people than ever before are sitting down to play – and now you can, too!
But what actually is Dungeons & Dragons?
Dungeons & Dragons, or D&D, is a cooperative, storytelling game where you and other players take on the roles of different characters within a story. Together with the others at your table, your characters will make enduring friendships, face menacing evils, battle monsters, uncover rich rewards, and complete fantastic adventures!
Okay, sure – but, isn’t it supposed to be really complicated to play?
The ultimate goal of D&D is to tell a story together – the beauty of it is that you can make it as simple or as complicated to play as you wish.
In this taster session, you don’t need to know anything about Dungeons & Dragons, or have any prior experience in order to play – just a willingness to sit down with a group of people and indulge your imagination! It’s as simple as that really.
For everything else, our friendly Game Masters (including our friends from the WARGs society) are on hand to guide you as you and your fellow players embark on your first adventure.
I’m in! What do I have to do next?
If you’re interested, simply grab a ticket for one of the game instances below to reserve a space. Each instance corresponds to a separate game of roughly 4-6 players, each led by an experienced Game Master. You don't need to worry about which instance you get a ticket for, they simply help us to make sure we've got a great Player:Game Master ratio so everyone has a great time at the table.
As an added bonus, every participant will be issued their own D&D dice set to keep!
